The steps of cleaning wetsuits are as follows:
Firstly, it's the rinsing stage. Rinse the inside and outside of the wetsuit with fresh water as soon as possible after use. Pay special attention to rinsing the zipper area to remove impurities such as sand and algae. If there is an odor, you can add a small amount of white vinegar (about 1/4 - 1/2 cup of white vinegar to 10 - 15 liters of water) to the rinsing water, soak the wetsuit for 15 - 30 minutes, and then rinse it again.
Next comes the cleaning stage. Select a specialized cleaner for diving wetsuits. Add it to an appropriate amount of water at a temperature of 20 - 30 degrees Celsius. Gently rub the easily soiled parts such as the collar and cuffs. Avoid using a hard brush. For stubborn stains, dip a soft cloth in the cleaner and wipe the stained areas. The inside of the wetsuit also needs to be turned inside out for cleaning.
After cleaning, rinse the wetsuit thoroughly. Check it several times to ensure that there is no cleaner residue left, especially paying attention to the zipper and sealed parts.
Finally, it's the drying stage. Lay the wetsuit flat to dry in a well-ventilated and shady place, such as on the ground or on a clothes drying rack covered with a towel. Do not hang it up to dry to avoid deformation. Also, avoid direct sunlight and high-temperature environments. If necessary, you can use a fan to assist ventilation to speed up the drying process, but the wind speed should not be too high. After the wetsuit is basically dry, turn it inside out to dry the inside.
